This is an introductory workshop providing USDA's current recommendations on how to safely can seasonal garden produce and specialty items. We will be doing a hands-on demonstration of how to safely can salsa. The program, conducted by Nicole McGeehan, Penn State Extension Food Safety Educator, is geared towards anyone new to canning or wanting to learn the basics of home canning.
