The Morning Call

Buying baked goods and other sweet treats from Pappy's Orchard and Lisa's Kitchen is about making connections to the land and to your memories. Lisa Urffer and her family grow and pick the apples and peaches she uses in her pies jams and fruit butters from their orchard that begins at the bakery's back door. Taste Lisa's from-scratch versions of time-tested Pennsylvania Dutch favorites including wet-bottom shoo-fly pie funny cakes sticky buns and whoopie pies and they'll bring back memories by-the-forkful of good times in your mother's and grandmothers' kitchens.  She also bakes specialty cakes and cookies and makes homemade candy and no-sugar-added homemade applesauce. Visit in summertime and you also can stock up on the family's home-grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Their produce stand is a few feet from the bakery's front door.
